Non-Planned Woven Pendant

There is no such thing as an instant jewelry, but this pendant just came together.  I realized that I needed to have a pendant to take to the Guild tomorrow.  I went to my box of 'not done yet' and found a piece of weave that I had made and put aside.  There in the box was a purple agate bead.  I don't think they were planned for each other, since the weave was too long, but I used the extra weave in that curl at the bottom.  I was happy when it worked.  Then I used the extra bare wire for some side curls.  I added a bit more weave for the bail and neck area.  I'm happy that my 'non-planning' worked out.  This pendant is larger than my typical pendants, at 2 1/2" L x 1 3/4" W item PJ34 $48.

Thank you again for stopping my blog.

I hope you have a a joy filled and creative day!

A Trinity Of Spirals

It's such a gift to wake up in the morning with a jewelry design in my head. I wish it were always this way. These earrings are what I created from my early morning idea.  There are 3 spirals, all with different gauges of wire and lengths,. I like them, but as I edited the pictures I have again come up with a 'tweak' to this design. Next time I will use twisted wire on one of the spirals. Most likely the back larger spiral, but maybe the front smaller spiral. I'll make both designs and see which one I like the most. In the meantime they are going to the Guild in Hendersonville, NC and see how the public responds. They are 1 3/4" L x 3/4" W for $26 item # EJ48.

Thank you for visiting. Have a joy filled and creative day.

Spring Time in the Fall

People love the 'Tree of Life' pendant. I'm not alone when it comes to making them. I think, at least for myself, I make them, as much for myself, as I do for those who buy them. But, this pink "Cherry Blossom" tree may have some folks scratching their heads and wondering 'Why is Linda making a spring time tree, when it's clearly fall?" Well, what can I say, but I was in a pink mood.. I pulled out my chips that I used for this design and I just had to work with pink.

Thank you for visiting and have a wonderful creative and joy filled day,

Amber Leafy Necklace Found

Oh so perfect timing!  I recently mentioned that I found a lot of packed away jewelry, from my move last March.  Here's another leafy necklace that is just perfect for this time of the year.  It's now on display at the Guild for $49 (normally $89, but I gotta sell all of these treasures I just found.)

Pretty amber colored and iridescent leaves, with tiny blue crystals that form flowers (they might be Swarovski, but I made this last year, so I really don't remember) and small seed beads for buds of future flowers.  I whacked, err forged, the heck out'a some wire for the clasp.

Lost and Found Jewelry

Look what I found in my stash!  When I moved last March I packed up my completed projects.  I just rediscovered so many items.  It's so much fun to find things that were frgotten.  This neclace is going with me tomorrow to the Guild to be displayed for adoption.  18" length, adjustable to 22" for $49.  I wrapped it around my wrist and it makes a fun bracelet.

The second picture is the one I took to post on Facebook, but just had to give it an actual beauty shot in the first picture in this post.

Crack the whip!  I gotta' get back to work!  Thank you for visiting.  Have a joy filled and creative day!

Cluster Bling Earrings

I am not a photographer!!!  I had a lot of fun making crystal cluster earrings, in fuschia, blue and purple. But, taking their picture was a challenge and the final results are only good enough for my inventory/history and then I thought I'd blog them.. This pair is the best camera shot and it's not to my liking, but you can get a reasonable idea of the final earrings. They are now in my new art cooperative, the Carolina Mountain Artist Guild. 1 1/2" L x 5/8"W Swarovski crystals for $32.

Orange Chaos Curls for Fall

Happy Fall!  Orange Howlite with Swarovski accent crystals seem perfect for this day. I absolutely love the swirls which are inspired from the chaos curls technique and some experimentation. I'm going to make more of these in different gemstones. I'll be sending these to The Firehouse Gallery.  They are about 1 1/4" L x 1/2" W and list for $22.

It's Leaf Peeper Season in the Mountains of Asheville, NC

It's leaf peeper season. A time when the leaves here in the mountains of Asheville, NC turn into true works of art by Mother Nature and that means there are lots of visitors coming to see the beauty, which is a busy time for me for making my annual forest of pendants.  This Tree of Life will be in my new art cooperative, Carolina Mountain Artist Guild.  It comes with a 24" copper chain, that I forgot to add while taking this picture.  It's about 1 3/4" in diameter and is listed for $42.

Tulip Earrings for the Old Jail Gift Shop

I'm working on an order for the Old Jail gift shop. These are my favorite earrings, so far. They are also the most time consuming. I've made them before, but this time I got smart and wrote the instructions, just in case (hopefully) they sell quickly and I need to make more. They are 2 1/2" L x 1/2" W for $34.
