The Vintage Lady Surprised Me with Artist of the Month

A wonderful surprise! Thank you Cindi Parsons Dunn! I am the Artist of the Month at her wonderful shop The Vintage Lady. I woke up this morning to find this surprise announcement on Facebook.

Here's what she had to say:

Oh, The West Virginia Hills
How Majestic and How Grand!
"Take Me Home, Country Roads"

West Virginia - WOW - she has it all!! From spectacular mountains waiting to be hiked to beautiful rivers waiting to be fished.....to little towns with funky names like Big Ugly, Looneyville, and Left Hand. West Virginia is also home to so many amazing artists - like our own Artist of the Month - Linda Sinish. Linda designs and handcrafts wire and metal jewelry from her studio located in the Appalachian Mountains near Blackwater Falls. Have you seen the falls......what an amazing piece of Mother Nature's artwork they are!
Linda's earrings are beautiful and popular. She uses copper wire that is oxidized to give it an antique look. They are light weight - but make a statement - just what jewelry is supposed to do! As you know......The Vintage Lady is committed to American Artists.....and especially West Virginia Artists - like our friend Linda!
Fun WV Facts

Famous West Virginian's
Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson, Kathy Mattea, Brad Paisley, Booker T. Washington, Jerry West, General Chuck Yeager, Mary Lou Retton

Movies Filmed in WV

Did you know that in WV.....the first steamboat was launched here, the apple we know as the Golden Delicious originated here, the longest steel arch bridge in the Western Hemisphere is here, the first brick street in the world was laid here, the first Mother's Day was held here, the first 4-H camp was here,

And......On February 14, 1824, at Harpers Ferry, John S. Gallaher published the "Ladies Garland," one of the first papers in the nation devoted mainly to the interests of women. WOW - and now home to The Vintage Lady!
